Ghazaleh Hedayat is an artist and photographer based in Tehran. Born in 1979, she studied photography at Tehran Azad University and New Genres at San Francisco Art Institute. She teaches photography at different art universities in Iran and was a member of the editorial board of Herfeh: Honarmand art magazine. In 2020, she founded Bāygān: House of Photographs & Words in Tehran, an independent research institution focusing on fine art photography. Hedayat explores silence and senses in her artistic practice, spanning photography, video, and object-installation. Her works have been widely shown in Iran and internationally.
